Maintaining the integrity of this blog

Once again readers are reminded that The purpose of this blog is to inform Exeter residents on events and undisclosed information.  It is not to debate political philosophies. It is not to promote ideals- Democrat v. Republican.  It is not to debate conservatism, socialism. libertarianism, liberalism.  Comment is limited to one per posting with no back and forth.  If you have comments on the issue, stay focused on the ISSUE.  Help keep this blog educational, factual and informative.

  1. Got it, it's your blog: delete comments as you wish. But, don't go about chastising Dan Chartrand for doing the same things you do, i.e., supporting cronyism and tax-funded make-work jobs. Both you and Chartrand share another similarity: contrary opinions are viewed with hostility.

I wonder how long this one will last.

  2. Dear "anonymous",
I would have to disagree with your posted comment on 2 points. First, there is a great difference between the opinions of the blogger and those of Mr. Chartrand. Careful reading of the postings makes that clear. Second, I don't view your comments with hostility. In many cases, and on the basis of principles, I agree with you more often than not. Practical realities tend to override how we might like it to be.

However, as the Blogger who set up the site to provide factual information to Exeter citizens, I have a responsibility to insure balance on the site. The site is open to anyone, and for anyone to comment. Yet, that is not a license to use the site as a personal sounding board for any one person's political philosophy. It's like a debate. I am the moderator. I want everyone to have the equal opportunity to ask and answer questions. Therefore, I can't allow one person to keep stating the same thing over and over again and making "charged" accusations.

You are free to comment on any post. Just stay within the parameters so everyone can enjoy the exchange of information and opinions.

    Sincerely

    Publius
